Energy Healing--LaHo-Chi & Reiki
Since an Energy Healing practitioner is not a licensed physician, these energies do not replace traditional medicine, but rather complement the healing process. These sessions are deeply relaxing and will create a sense of well being, which increases the rate of recovery. Sensations felt by the recipient are usually a deep feeling of warmth and comfort. The recipient could also feel coolness or vibrations, see colors, small certain scents, etc.
LaHo-Chi & Reiki are being used in many settings including hospitals, hospice, as well as in private and in self-care; e.g., The City of Hope in Los Angeles, CA.
Benefits
A session is pleasant, relaxing, and will help you to
A session treats the entire person― mind, body, and spirit. The relief from stress and the return to harmony is priceless.
A Reiki Treatment
A Reiki treatment has been described as feeling warm, soothing, and a bit tingly. A recipient of Reiki will feel measurable heat emanating from the practitioner’s hands, which is normal. Also, energetic vibrations increase, blockages clear, and awareness and intuition heighten.
What one experiences during a Reiki session can vary from person to person. However, most people feel heat accompanied by a deep relaxation. In addition, some feel a glowing radiance surrounding them. As the Reiki energy encourages one to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear, or other negative feelings, some drift off to sleep (may even snore) or report floating outside their bodies. Some report mystical visions and some see colors or geometric forms, and/or smell fragrances.
At the end of the treatment, one feels refreshed and relaxed with a positive, more balanced outlook.
In Reiki, the healing energy is allowed to flow into the practitioner, and then they act as a vehicle through which this energy is passed on to another individual through their hands. A Reiki treatment restores balance and harmony to the whole person and brings about a sense of wellness.
A client remains fully clothed while receiving Reiki, as Reiki will go through material, even plaster casts.
The person being treated is not “healed” per se by the Reiki practitioner. The client’s healing comes from the “universal life force” flowing through the practitioner to them. The person giving Reiki is not drained of their own life energy, but actually is replenished in the process. To give is to receive!
In a standard treatment, Reiki flows from the practitioner’s hands into the client, who is usually laying on a massage table, but may be seated in a chair if necessary. The practitioner places hands on and around the body in a series of positions starting with the head and moving down the body. These positions correspond to our energy centers in our body. A treatment is deeply relaxing and benefits both the client and the practitioner.
